Someone posted a couple of great gift questions in our Private CRE Mastery Facebook Group last week…
Do you get your clients a gift after the transaction is complete? If so, what? If not, why not?
Once you decide to buy a gift, what’s an appropriate gift?
In today’s Massimo Minute, I’m sharing how you can give valuable gifts that will make a lasting impression on your clients.
Here’s what we cover:
1: The importance of giving meaningful gifts after a transaction (and during the holiday season)
2: The impact of a house visit and $1,100 Michigan Wolverine motor scooter
3: Discussing a $3,500 gift for a client who produced $1.2 million in commissions
4: How a $25 baseball helped me close our biggest client to date
This is so timely a video for my self and business. I came from the Resi world before going 100% commercial, and in that space, many of the agents would bring a gift to closing, most of the time something small, a cake, cookies, a picture, I used to put a bottle of Champagne in the fridge of a new buyers home and have them open the door to make sure it was working during the final walkthrough, nothing expensive but something. Now in this bus have gotten away from it. Its just the feeling you get when you give someone a gift that has meaning. Now what do I get?
Joe, gifts should be both personal and appropriate, which really is a case by case basis. One item I really like is to make a donation – the amount really is not the issue, of your client’s favorite charity, in their name.
