Should I change my specialty?

As we continue to navigate our way through these market changes, I get a lot of questions about what people should be doing to continue to grow their business despite an uncertain future in the industry.

Most recently, I’ve had a lot of people coming to me asking if they should change their specialty. This is pretty common in a market change — it often causes knee-jerk reactions, and people think that what they’re currently doing is all wrong.

I get it. The market is changing, so it makes sense to ask yourself — should I change as well?

For most of you, the answer is no. You don’t need to change, but you should adapt your business based on where the market is going.

In today’s Massimo Minute I’m going to discuss market changes, and how that effects what specialists and generalists should be doing in their business right now.

Here’s what we cover:

  1. 2 reasons most of you should NOT consider a specialty change
  2. The 1 category of brokers that will become obsolete if they don’t change
  3. 2 things you should be doing instead of changing your specialty
