This past week, the commercial real estate industry suffered a major loss with the passing of Gary Tharp, CCIM. He was both a mentor and a friend to so many of us.
During these moments, it’s especially important for us to take a step back and reflect, not only on our lives but also on the days and weeks that make up that life.
In our industry, it’s too easy to get stuck on the “transaction treadmill” and miss out on the relationships that matter most (both inside and outside the office).
So in today’s Massimo Minute, I’m sharing a process you can use to reflect at the end of each week.
Here’s what we cover:
1: How to close out each week.
2: Taking a day off from transactions.
3: Working “on” the business instead of “in” the business.
4: Preparing your marketing and sales initiatives for the upcoming week and month.
5: Reviewing your pipeline.
6: Reaching out to your team to show gratitude and see how you can make their lives easier.
7: Taking time to appreciate your progress, reflect on failures, and look for ways to improve.
